Subject: 4th of July Campaign Events - Volunteers
Needed!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all
had a good week. We need volunteers to staff the following activities for
the 4th of July!!! Even if each of you could give an hour
or two that would be great! Some of these I will be at and some we will
have volunteers in campaign t-shirts handing out our new palm cards!
Please let us know if you can help! I will be sending this same email to
our volunteer base.
9:00am – Leisure
World, Silver Spring, meet and greet/lit
drop at parade. (5-7 people)
10:00am Takoma
Park, MD Parade/festival,
meet and greet/lit drop at parade (4-5 people)
11:00am Wood
Acres – it’s a small neighborhood parade in Bethesda off River Rd., meet and
greet/lit drop at parade (4-5 people)
12:00pm
(tentative) Somerset Parade, Chevy Chase, is a very liberal neighborhood, very
tentative (2-3 people)
2:00-4:00pm Friendship Heights July
4th Festival, not a parade, meet and greet, lit
drop (3-4 people)
9:00am-2:00pm Montgomery
Village has a parade at 9 that Steve won’t make b/c of Leisure World, but they
also have a carnival that goes until 2pm, volunteers to distribute literature
and mingle. (3-4 people)
As for the
evening, what I would ideally like…have as many people as we can muster –
wearing campaign t-shirts, to take lit to the respective events and hand out to
people before dark.

County Fair Grounds; Gates open at 5; music starts at 7, fireworks at

Family activities begin at 4 p.m., patriotic concert at 8 p.m. and fireworks at
9:30 p.m.

Live music begins at 6 p.m., Fireworks at 9 p.m. Parking is $5 per
vehicle. (3-4 people)
Kensington/Wheaton Albert Einstein High School, 11135
Newport Mill Rd., Kensington, Maryland.
Entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks show will begin approximately
9:15 p.m. (3-4 people)
